A newly
designed prayer board has been placed on the wall near the "Angel
Windows". If you have a prayer concern, please write it down
on a piece of paper provided in the attached basket and place
it underneath the ribbon on the board. You are welcome to take
down a prayer(s) and pray for the concern during worship, while
walking the labyrinth, or any other time you are at the church.
Each Monday, RLC staff will also spend time in prayer with all
the requests. Concerns will be removed every two weeks. Thanks
to Sharon Blosch and Phyllis Clement for creating this beautiful
enhancement for prayer ministry.

| News From
Asuchillo, El Salvador |
Thanks
to your generous support, the people of Asuchillo have been
rebuilding their community as a result of the earthquake some
months ago. These people are a very motivated group and Dave
Johnson, the SHARE worker in El Salvador, attributes this to
their deep spiritual faith and to their connection with Resurrection
Lutheran Church. He says that their visit here shows them what
is possible and our continued support lets them know that they
are present in other peoples' hearts and that they are not alone
an for gotten in their struggles. 169 families are in the rebuilding
process, but many who were living in rented housing or who have
damaged houses, which do not qualify for rebuilding funds are
still living wit relatives and friends. The great news is that
because of our efforts (along with our sistering partners)NON
ONE in Asuchillo is homeless at this time!!
Please
continue to keep theses people in you prayers and know that
any donation you would like to make will go directly to the
Asuchillo Sistering committee in San Francisco for \direct delivery
to the Asuchillo community.
Please
give me a call or send me an email, if you have any questions

STEPHEN
MINISTRY: Equipping Lay-people for Significant Ministry Resurrection
Lutheran Church is about to embark on a formal program for equipping
people to biblically care for one another through Stephen Ministry
Training Program. We will follow the teachings of Jesus’ vision
to care for and love one another as He cares for and loves us.
Congregations that enroll in the Stephen Series are committed
to a biblical vision of caring for people in their church, in
the community, and in the world. Jesus said caring for others’
needs is how we serve and glorify him: “Truly I tell you, just
as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of
my family, you did it to me” (Matthew 25:40). Such a ministry
of caring is part of God’s plan for a hurting world. The Stephen
Series is a practical, tangible way for congregations to touch
people with the love and mercy of God in Jesus Christ. If you
have been thinking of how you can better serve RLC and the community
at large, this just might be the program for you. The dates
to consider are July 8-14, 2001, in Seattle, Washington at the
University of Washington. An information video is on order and
will be available for viewing in April during the education
hour. Watch the Weekly and listen for an announcement about
the actual date.

you too...so..why not send her a birthday greeting. Her address
